| Friday, October 2, 2009 | Ten Toes Up 10:00:00 PM - 2:00:00 AM Band's Website

"Ten Toes Up's current line up has been together for almost a year. Our goal is to play music that we enjoy. Entertaining audiences is an unbelievable feeling but if you don't believe in what you're doing, no one else will either. We started from scratch with extremely diverse backgrounds. From jazz, jam, latin, and pentecostal influences emerged a sound that has been described as a little southern rock, a little jam band, and a lot of heart and soul. Ten Toes Up plays a huge array of covers that both keeps the audience jumping and highlights the bands musical ability. People who come back to our shows again and again say they can tell we are having a good time. Our originals try to tell a story while still keeping people jumping. Our music is influenced by our heroes; The Allman Brothers, The Rolling Stones, Hendrix, John Scofield, Phish, Ben Harper, and many more. It's a priviledge to do this kind of work and the response we've received from our first album is incredible" Tonight's Specials: $3 Kamikazi Shots | | Saturday, October 3, 2009 | Machine Gun 10:00:00 PM - 2:00:00 AM Machine Gun was formed in May of 2004, but these players have performed together for quite a few years. Favorites include: Dream Theater, Racer X, Symphony X, Planet X, Derek Sherinian, ArK, Megadeth, (old)Metallica, Alice in Chains, Pantera, Van Halen, Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath, Zakk Wylde, Stone Temple Pilots, Steve Vai, Guns-n-Roses, Boston, and of course, Color Me Badd...Just kidding.DSP began to form in the drumline at East Carolina University in 2001, with intentions of composing a broad spectrum of styles from latin and jazz fusion to state-of-the-art progressive metal. The name was derived from a quote in the Bruce Lee film "Return of the Dragon." It represents the progressive thinker's inner beast seeking the next level of enlightenment. We strive to use these principles to reach new levels of improvement in our playing and writing. After changing singers and bassists multiple times, we have decided to move our home base to Wilmington, NC in search of serious musicians who are seeking a similar path. The only way to survive in Greenville as a musician is to play covers, which we have proven capable, and we have more to offer than playing what has been written. So, as we begin to turn the tides from all-cover, to all-original set lists, there is no doubt that our journey has only just begun. Tonight's Specials: $3 Royal Flush Shots
