Painted Man
10:00:00 PM - 2:00:00 AM

Painted Man, revered as one of the best bands in Myrtle Beach, SC reformed with a new lineup, but the same kick a** attitude. Painted Man features: Vince Peeples (Guitar/Vocals),Roy Haper(sax and Keyboards), William"Boz"Bostic(Vocals), Brett Sisson (Bass).Vince Peeples is a Washington D.C. native, whose guitar is the driving force behind Painted Man.One can describe his playing and the groups sound as a mix of diverse styles fused together in a soulful menagerie of music.Vince put together Painted Man's first incarnation which was very successful in and around the Myrtle Beach area, as well as parts of North Carolina. During it's second incarnation, Painted Man was featured in Dawson's Creek's final episode. Vince also performs with Soul Power Posse. Leroy Harper Jr. is a native of Graniteville, SC, who started to play sax on a pro level at the age of 15 years of age. He owes a lot of his heart and soul to the many great musicians he has had a chance to play with on all levels. Some of note has been Stevie Wonder, Millie Jackson, Stacy Lattersaw, James Levi (one of Herbie Hancock & Headhunters drummers) & James Brown since 1991. Leroy also is the founding member of "Soul Power Posse". " I'm delighted to be back with Painted Man after being a way from the group for the last 3 years. It is great to come back and see the spirit of Painted Man is still intact. Brett Sisson (bass) is from St. Albans, WV and attended Marshall University where he studied jazz. Brett has played with various groups of different styles and cites influences from Les Claypool to Jaco Pastorious. Painted Man covers a myriad of styles including Rock, Pop, Soul, R&B, Jazz, Funk, Reggae and Fusion. If you catch their show, always be prepared to dance and party all night. Painted Man keeps it live and funky.

Ballyhoo/ Line Up Magazine
10:00:00 PM - 2:00:00 AM

Band's Website

Ballyhoo! has been touring the country in their pimp conversion van, spreading the music from coast to coast in support of their 2006 release "Do It For the Money!". Selling over 6,000 hard copies and more than 20,000 downloads through iTunes and various other digital stores worldwide, the band shows no signs of stopping. With a new record set for launch in early spring '08, the guys are planning to tour a lot more to support it. "We've been playing for so long, it'd be weird to stop now. 'Do It For the Money!' has really opened a lot doors for us and has spread like wildfire in the underground", says frontman Howi Spangler. The band looks forward to getting back on the road to rock the new songs for the core fans, "I can't wait for people to hear the new stuff", says Howi, "we've really taken what we've done in the past and built on top of it, adding more edge to the rock songs and more melody to the reggae. This record's got rock, reggae, acoustic, and even some power ballads!" It's only going to get bigger for Ballyhoo!, so keep your ears to the ground. The sky is NOT the limit. Look for the band to be in your town in 2008. And if you get a hold of the music, burn it and give to your friends!

Nantucket w/ Polar Bear Blues Band featuring Harvey Arnold
10:00:00 PM - 12:00:00 AM

The band called "Nantucket" has entertained hundreds of thousands of people over the last 30 years and have six albums to their credit. They are a group that catches the audiences' attention and keeps it with its versatile lineup of six musicians. The group was formed in 1972 and still has four of the six original members. Nantucket is Larry and Mike Uzzell, Tommy Redd and Eddie Blair. Untold thousands of Carolina residents grew up with Nantucket's albums and now have families of their own. The sax players rendition of "Shotgun" by Jr. Walker and the All Stars is something that has to be seen live. From Larry Uzzell's lead vocals, trumpet and harmonica playing to Tommy Redd's amazing humor and song writing, Nantucket doesn't let up for the entire show. So if you're still wondering.... Yeah this is the same Nantucket that you heard in the seventies and eighties!! Come down and check out a legendary Rock and Roll band in an up close and personnel venue, and let your hair down and and let your feet start slappin' to the classic sounds of "Nantucket". Also opening the night will be "Old Money", veteran musician Walt Metts and Son (Eric)playing classic and alternative rock form the 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's. And leading into Nantucket will be Justin Fox and Friends.... need I say more? All this being said, it is going to be a show that you don't want to miss!!
